Sustainable cottage made of recycled cardboard

Spending the night at a Wikkelhouse is a unique experience where sustainability, comfort, and design come together. The Oep by Wikkelhouse, located at Vakantiepark De Klepperstee, is an unusual and innovative vacation home made of recycled cardboard. This cabin is best suited for four persons, but can offer an additional sleeping option for a child.

Comfortable and cleverly laid out tiny house

At the front of the Oep, you will find a cozy living kitchen with a stove, a fridge with a freezer compartment, and a cozy sitting area. The sofa bed in the living area offers a fifth berth, for a young child or guest. The sleeping area at the back has a comfortable double bed, while the middle section of the cabin is divided with a modern bathroom (including toilet and shower) and a separate, lockable bedroom with a fold-out bunk bed—a playful and practical solution for children.

Both the front and back of the cabin have a raised patio, ideal for enjoying the morning sun or a relaxing evening outside. The cabin also has a picnic table for outdoor meals.

Close to amenities and plenty of nature experiences

The Oep is situated in an attractive location within the park, near the center area with restaurant, several playgrounds, and the natural swimming pond. This way, you will have everything at your fingertips, while staying in a quiet and car-free environment. The Oep is part of a sustainable cooperation between Wikkelhouse and Vakantiepark De Klepperstee. The Wikkelhouses are made of recycled cardboard, fully ecologically responsible and designed with a circular future in mind. This method of construction fits perfectly with De Klepperstee's sustainable vision.

Staying at one of these cottages at Klepperstee, you are consciously choosing a tiny house experience, which means enjoying more with less.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich und kompetent empfangen. Beschreibung zum Haus und der Parkplatz wurde und super erklärt. Das wikkelhouse ist einfach, sparsam eingerichtet, sehr abgewohnt und auch nicht wirklich sauber. Trotzdem hat es uns gefallen. Die Anlage ist sehr schön, besonders für Kinder und der Strand sehr nah. Wir werden gern wiederkommen, allerdings nehmen wir dann ein luxuriöses Haus.

We hadden met ons gezin een gezellige tijd in de Oep. De ontvangst was hartelijk. We hebben lekker gegeten in de bistro en werden er vriendelijk bediend. De kinderen konden zowel binnen als buiten leuk spelen. Toen we de laatste avond wilden gaan zwemmen, kregen we kosteloos extra badlinnen waarvoor nogmaals dank.

Leider war die Sauberkeit im Mietobjekt bei dem Preis sehr schlecht, extrem viele Spinnweben und in den Ecken und unter/hinter dem großen Betten wurde lange nicht gereinigt, sehr schade! :-(
